I had the tremendous honor of serving on The Columbia Daily Spectator's 147th managing board in the role of Illustrations Editor. I teamed up with staff writers to bring stories to life through original illustrations, creating artwork for published articles and designing ten vibrant print edition covers. I crafted dynamic layouts and custom inline art that gave each issue a distinct visual voice. As art director, I ran weekly illustrator workshops, collaborated closely with journalism teams to shape both digital and print content, and refined final pieces to ensure every page felt cohesive, polished, and creatively bold. I went undercover to illustrate the lab that illegally housed stolen human remains at Columbia, created a cohesive visual theme for our 2024 Presidential Election Edition, and worked closely with the Sports Section to cover historic moments in sports at Columbia. In an incredibly tumultuous time on Columbia's campus I led my team through illustrations and news designs that captured the 2025 Solidarity Encampment, collaborated with New York Magazine on illustrations depicting this period and the ensuing protests, and continued visual coverage through the eventual fallout and administrative chaos following.
