In 2025 I graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelors in Visual Arts and completing my Thesis.
Blending maximalist teen-magazine aesthetics, religious iconography, and classical portraiture, this project reverently studies the obsessive joy of online girlhood and fan culture and transforms it into lush, cluttered tributes to the power of community, nostalgia, and the internet’s most strange corners. The spindling arched frames and pearls and gold commonly found in my work connect the boy-band altars of teen girls’ rooms to religious altarpiece structures, both containing a central thread of beauty and obsession. Classical portraiture in charcoal and oil is used to lovingly depict the central focus of each piece: portraits of my beautiful friends.
